The new hospital will offer a wider range of services with significantly more beds and treatment spaces. It will include emergency care, Chemotherapy chairs, surgical services, critical care, maternity services, paediatric care, cardiac catheterisation, inpatient beds, mental health, rehabilitation services, palliative care and outpatient clinics.

Onsite early works commenced in early 2019 marking a milestone for the project.  The new Maitland Hospital is on track to open in early 2022.
